Finally here comes the D day for all Vikram fans. The release date of the much awaited Thaandavam has already been announced as September 28. Now the latest is that the Censor officials has give a clean U certificate for the film.
AL Vijay’s Thaandavam, starring Vikram, Anushka, Amy Jackson, Santhanam and Lakshmi Rai has come out clean with a ‘U’ certificate from the censor board. Dhananjayan Govind, UTV Motion Pictures, South Chief, confirmed the release date as 28th September.
Vijay has made five films till now, and all the five had been certified as ‘U’. “He makes films for all and never does something that deviates from our culture, no matter how stylish the films are. That’s his USP,” Vikram had said in a recent press meet. It is a ‘clean and neat’ entertainer according to the filmmakers which is the reason for passing the censors without any trouble.
Thaandavam is about a RAW official, who avenges the injustice done to him. Vikram, in major portion of the film, is said to play a blind man and an echolocation specialist. The film’s inspiration, the real life ‘Batman’ Daniel Kish, an echolocator has also done a cameo in the film.
The crew had also brought in sand artistes from Germany to do the art work for the song Uyirin Uyire. With many other established actors like Saranya Ponvannan, Thambi Ramaiah, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Jagapathy Babu being a part of the film, Thaandavam is all set to hit the screens amidst high expectations.
