Maatran is the yet another movie in the superhit combo of filmmaker K.V. Anand and Harris Jayraj with Suriya.
The director of hit films such as 'Kana Kandaen', 'Ayan' and 'Ko' is of full praises for established actor Suriya and said, Suriya never gets tired of for second take and he is always willing to give as many takes as possible.

Reportedly Suriya has shot 2500 takes for Maatran for the Siamese twin roles. KV Anand said, "As a cinematographer I've worked with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and many others. But, I always felt established actors hesitate to give an extra shot. However it's different with Suriya. He's always ready to give second-take or even more if needed."

"KV sir knows exactly what to give to the audience. I have full confidence in him and I'm sure my fans will love my work in the film," said Suriya. Maatran is an action-thriller that features Kajal Agarwal as lady love for Suriya, who play the dual roles as conjoined twins. Maatran is the sixth movie of Suriya to enjoy the compositions of Harris Jayraj.
