The latest buzz in the industry is that Naan Ee director S S Rajamouli’s hit Telugu film, Maryada Ramanna, is all set to be remade in Tamil. We hear that Prasad V Potluri, who has produced a couple of films in Kollywood including Rajapattai and the under-production Irandaam Ulagam, has acquired the Tamil remake rights of the film, and has asked Kannan to work on it. A source says, “Maryada Ramanna had Sunil and Saloni in the lead, and was lauded by critics and audience alike. The film has been remade in Kannada and Bengali, and is currently being made in Hindi as well, as Son Of Sardar with Ajay Devgan and Sonakshi. Now, Prasad has acquired the Tamil remake rights. The production team is contemplating on getting Kannan to remake the film. However, nothing has been made official till now.”
