We have earlier reported that STR complete the shoot of his much awaited Podaa Podi recently. Now the latest is that the film will hit screens for this Deepavali while his another film Vaalu, which was supposed to hit screens in November, has been postponed.

The team has also been working hard to achieve this deadline. However, he has now announced that Poda Podi, which has been in the making for nearly two years now, will be released on Diwali.

Poda Podi will mark the debut of Varalaxmi, daughter of actor-turned-politician Sarath Kumar. Details about the audio launch of Poda Podi are expected to be out in a few days.

Podaa Podi is produced by Gemini and Padam Kumar and as the title suggests, the film is an energetic rom-com. It is reported that Shobana will play a prominent role. Well-known artist Ute Bergk (assistant art director of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and V for Vendetta) has been roped in as the art director for the film. The music of this flick will be launched soon.
