After a bumper opening for Maattrraan, a happy Suriya is busy shooting for Singam 2. The movie a sequel to his earlier hit Singam. Singam 2 features Anushka and Hansika Motwani as heroines. Vivek and Santhanam are also in the cast. Music is by Devi Sri Prasad.

A major portion of the movie is now being shot in Tuticorin. A stunt sequence was recently canned. Hansika expressed her delight to be part of a Suriya starrer. She expressed her admiration for Suriya’s dedication.

There are reports that Hansika plays a school girl in the Suriya starrer Singam 2. A photo of the actress in school uniform has created hype that she is playing a schoolgirl. However, Hansika has denied it. She has said that the particular getup in question is only for a song sequence.
