Thangar Bachan's 'Ammavin Kaipesi' for Deepavali?

Looks like it is going to be a crowded box office during Deepavali this year. With four films (Thuppakki, Kumki, Samaran and Kalla Thuppakki) already announcing the festival week as their release period, now, director Thangar Bachan has become the latest entrant in this race.

The director’s family drama, Ammavin Kaipesi, starring Shanthnoo Bhagyaraj and Iniya in the lead, will be released for the festival of lights. The film is about an elderly mother who is left to lead a lonely life by her nine children. It is only through a humble mobile phone that she communicates with her offsprings. The director himself plays one of the children.

To highlight the theme, Thangar had asked guests to turn up with their moms for the audio launch of the film.
