Kumki missed to create the 60-year history!
Kumki was supposed to hit the screens this Diwali but somehow missed it. Sources say that Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu’s dad, wanted the film to be released on that day because it marked the 60th anniversary of Sivaji Ganesan’s Parasakthi.

Yes, it was on that day, 60 years ago, Parasakthi hit the silver screens and Sivaji Ganesan turned out to be an icon and legend of Indian cinema. Prabhu wanted his son’s film to also be released on the same day so that he would also scale greater heights just as his granddad but that was not to be.

Vikram Prabhu debuts in Kumki while Lakshmi Menon plays the female lead. Thambi Ramaiah who previously fetched National award for acting in Prabhu Solomon’s Mynaa also plays an important role in Kumki. Imman’s music has already created waves and Kumki is expected to be a grand launch for Prabhu’s son. Kumki is now slated for release on December 14th, say sources.
