It is very rare for stars in Kollywood to host a TV show but Suriya took it as a challenge and did Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi.
Some section of media blamed the actor that over exposure to media was one of the reasons for Maattrraan's poor response.

Now it looks like the actor won't be hosting the second season of NVOK because of he is busy with Singam 2, Lingusamy's project and another project with Gautham Vasudev Menon.
