There are news reports that for the Hindi remake of Thuppakki, B-Town actor Akshay Kumar got a whopping 50 crore as salary. Ask director A R Murugadoss about it and he says, “That is a production call and I’m not really clued in on that side.”

Akshay Kumar after Delivering a Special performance in Special chabbis has signed with Reliance where Akki will be paid a remuneration of nearly Rs50 crore for the remake of the south film Thupakki. This figure also makes him the highest paid actor in B-Town.

According to the sources “The makers were keen to have Akshay on board, so they paid him whatever he asked for; approximately Rs50 crore, which is probably the highest in Bollywood.”
