The first two months of 2013 has seen nearly 20 releases in Tamil. Most of them were small movies. And March, traditionally the 'examination season' month will see more new releases.


Today March 1 saw 6 new Tamil releases – Aandava Perumal, Chandamama, Chuda Chuda, Lollu Dhada Parag Parag, Naangam Pirai 3D and Vellachi.

March 8 will see another five releases. They are Sundattam, Njanum En Jammunavum, Keeripulla, Kan Pesum Varthaigal and Mathil Mel Poonai

March 15 battle is basically between Bala's Paradesi and AR Murgadoss produced Vatthikuchi. The others looking for a release are Pesammal Pesinal and En Kathaliku Njane Villain.

March 22 will see Onbathalil Guru and Karupampetti. The big March 29 Easter weekend will see Vasanth's Moondru Per Moondru Kathal and Radha Mohan's Gouravam.

These dates are not firm, and may change. Some of these films are yet to be censored and most of them are being directly released by their producers. As of now these 20 films are trying for a release along with a dozen others who are looking to break the queue and rush in, if they get a theatre!
