Andrea Jeremiah would have been the ideal fit for the role of an Anglo-Indian girl in Dhanush's Aadukalam but the actress had missed out on the opportunity.

The offer then went to Taapsee who debuted in Tamil through that role.

Andrea says that she's really happy that the chance went to Taapsee but she still managed to make her presence felt in the movie by contributing as the voice for the same character. Many had appreciated the character's voice and especially the right Anglo-Indian diction in her speech and all the credit would have to go to Andrea for that.
