Bharat Bala directed Dhanush starrer Mariyaan is gearing up for a release on July 19. After few postponements of the release, producer Aascar Ravichandran has confirmed the release date of the film.

Dhanush has paired up with actress Parvathi Menon in the film and Mariyaan is surrounded with good expectations ever since the film has hit the floors. The film's story revolves around human survival and has been adapted on real-life incident where three workers from India were kidnapped to Sudan.

Mariyaan teaser trailers and the first look posters have caught moviegoers attention and the movie turned out to be one of the awaited films of the season. AR Rahman provided the soundtrack for the film.
