It is known that a couple of days ago Shahrukh Khan has come down to Chennai for the promotions of his upcoming release 'Chennai Express' with Deepika Padukone. Now, following his footsteps John Abraham is about to fly down to the city today [Aug 5] for the trailer launch of his 'Madras Cafe' Tamil version.

Madras Café deals with a script of terrorism and sees John Abraham as a RAW agent. Earlier, Naam Thamizha, a Tamil activist group has appealed for a ban on Madras Cafe for reportedly portraying LTTE members as terrorists. Director Seeman reported, "We have requested the government of Tamil Nadu to intervene and stop the film from releasing."

Somehow, John Abraham and his Madras Café appear to have won the tussle and making some screens for their film here. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, Madras Café casts Nargis Fakhri and Jacqueline Fernandez as female leads.
