Many Kollywood filmmakers have turned actors, with Ameer, Cheran being recent examples. And now, it seems to be the turn of director Vasanth to face the camera. The filmmaker — whose last project was Moondru Paer Moondru Kadhal — will be seen in a vital role in Vai Raja Vai, which is Aishwaryaa Dhanush’s second feature film. This will be the first time that Vasanth is acting in a movie.


Important sequences involving the lead pair — Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand — and the director, was filmed yesterday during the first day of shoot that took place in the city. We hear that Vasanth is scheduled to play Gautham’s father in the movie.
