He’s sought after as an actor but Dhanush, the Kolaveri star, is now gaining in popularity as a singer too. The actor recently crooned a number for music composer Ghibran for his upcoming film Naiyandi.

Since Why This Kolaveri, a Dhanush number has become common in Kollywood, with composers reaching out to the actor for films that he’s not part of too. For his brother’s Irandam Ulagam, he has crooned a song — for composer Harris Jayaraj — though he does not star in it.

Interestingly, his two last films as actor — Raanjhanaa and Maryan — did not feature him as a singer. It remains to be seen if the actor will be roped in as singer in KV Anand’s Anegan, which has music by Harris Jayaraj, and his next Bollywood film with Aanand Rai.
