‘Vennila Veedu’, directed by Vetri Mahalingam, brings Vijayalakshmi and Mirchi Senthil together. The pretty actress is back after a gap in a village girl's role in this film. "I play Thenmozhi who comes from a village to the city," Vijayalakshmi says.

"How her friendship with a neighbour leads to complications forms the crux of the film. The film is very special to me for two reasons," she elaborates. "I always wanted to don a rural belle's character which has come true with VV. Secondly, I play the mother of a one-year-old kid after coming to the city. It was tough to work with a kid and an unforgettable experience in my career."

Senthil, heaping praise on the director, says, "Vetri has handled it all so well that after watching VV, everyone will ask whether Vijayalakshmi and I are really married. It's a well-made film," according to the star.

The audio was recently unveiled by R.K. Selva-mani, and several film personalities, including producer Arun, Cheran, Thamizhachi Thangapandian, Thanu, Seeman and Balaji Sakthivel were present at the function.
