After almost a decade, S Janaki is back to singing. The veteran singer has crooned a duet melody with Dhanush for Velai Illa Pattathari (VIP) which has music by Anirudh.

The singer was recently in the news for rejecting the Padma Bhushan award, stating it had come too late in her 55-year-long career.

A source says, “Janaki amma was not keeping well for a while now and was away from singing and recording sessions. However, she agreed to record a song for Anirudh for VIP. She was seen in good spirits as she recorded this melody with Dhanush.”
