Sony Pictures India had a sneak peek of their summer tentpole release, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, at Sathyam Cinemas on Friday evening. There was heavy security as all mobile phones had to be handed over at the entrance.

Some exclusive footage from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was screened for the guests. There were 20 minutes of 2D and another 20 minute of 3D footage from the film. The special effects and graphics are mind blowing and has blockbuster written all over it.

The film's India release date has been brought forward to May 1, which means it will be releasing before its US release. Kercy Daruwala, Managing Director of SPE Films India said : " We want to take advantage of the big May 1 – four day holiday weekend, apart from summer vacations. We are planning to promote the film aggressively."

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be releasing in India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and will be in Atmos and in 3D format. It will be one of the biggest and widest ever release for a Hollywood film in India.
