'Thala 55' has predominantly been shot in Chennai with brief schedules in Malaysia, Hyderabad and also recently in North India and parts of Sikkim in Eastern India. Trisha and Anushka are the female leads while the likes of Arun Vijay and Vivek play other important roles.

The shoot for the film is expected to be wrapped up before the year-end and Pongal 2015 is a likely release date with Christmas 2014 also being a remote possibility.

The film is yet to be titled and it is expected to be announced before the audio and trailer launch event of this film. This untitled venture has music by Harris Jayaraj and it has Anushka and Trisha playing the female leads.
