In just eight days, Ajith’s ‘Vedalam’ has collected more than Rs 100 crore in the box-office, making ‘thala’ fans happy. ‘Vedalam’ has emerged the first non Rajini-Shankar film to make these much collections in such a short span of time.
Moreover, ‘Vedalam’ is the only Tamil film to cross the Rs 100 crore benchmark in just eight days by releasing in only one version. For, its Telugu version ‘Avesham’ is yet to hit the screens.
In the meantime, Vijay’s ‘Puli’ directed by Chimbu Devan has crossed 50 days and its makers have come out with an advertisement in today’s newspapers, ‘thanking family audience and children for suporting the movie’.
While Vijay is on the verge of completing shooting for his 59th movie directed by Atlee, Ajith, who underwent surgeries on his knee and shoulder recently, is taking rest at his home. His next film too, it is said, will be directed by Siruthai Siva.
