Malaysia based singer-musician Mugen Rao rose to fame by winning the title of reality show Bigg Boss season 3.

We reported that the charming actor is all set to make his acting debut with director Anjana Ali Khan.

Anjana Ali Khan made her directorial debut with the 2011 Tamil film 'Veppam' starring Nani, Karthik Kumar, Nithya Menon, and Bindu Madhavi in the lead roles. Now Anjana is coming back to direction after nine years.

Now the makers have revealed the title of the film with first look title poster. To be produced by Shirdi Productions, the production house's first film has been titled 'Vettri', which is the character name of the lead actor, Mugen in the film. The makers are planning to start shooting from October 5 and will be shot entirely in Chennai.

Talking to a daily, Anjana said Vettri will be a coming-of-age drama of a boy who grows up amidst violence. "The film traces the journey of a boy from his school days to the point where he gets a job. The entire team felt that Mugen would be the right fit for the role, as it demanded someone really young who can pull off the raging scenes efficiently.", said the director

Anjana feels that shooting for the film with the ongoing restrictions is a blessing in disguise. "Since we have to shoot with limited members, I believe our work will be more efficient now. The film has certain sequences which demand crowds; we will have to wait for the restrictions to be lifted to shoot those."
Reported to be a thriller drama, Mugen is playing a role of an Engineering college student in the film. Former Miss India, Anukreethy Vas is playing the female lead and Kishore plays a crucial role. The cinematography of the film by R Rathnavelu, the music to be composed by Nivas K Prasanna and the editing is to be done by Anthony.
