Suriya - Hari's 'Aruvaa' under different banner?

Suriya's upcoming flick with director Hari 'Aruvaa' may be produced under different banner owning financial issues
Suriya - Hari's 'Aruvaa'
Suriya and director's Hari's upcoming project 'Aruvaa' was officially announced back in March and put to rest because of the COVID-19 lockdown.

Bankrolled by K.E. Gnanavelraja under the banner Studio Green, this will be sixth film from the actor-director combination. Hari has done five movies with Suriya including the 'Singam' series, 'Vel' and 'Aaru'.

In last few weeks, there were multiple reports about the project, one claiming the project has been dropped stating Suriya signed to do movie with director Pandiraj and another report stating the director's brother-in-law, actor Arun Vijay is said to have replaced Suriya in this rural action-drama. Speculations raised as the pictures of Arun Vijay sporting a completely new look to suit the lead character in 'Aruvaa', with a thick handlebar moustache, was shared online.

However, now reports surface that the project will likely be dropped because the producer of the movie and Suriya's relative, K.E. Gnanavel Raja is stuck into some financial issues during this lockdown with some uncompleted projects on hand including the horror comedy 'Katteri' directed by Deekay and Tamil remake Kannada blockbuster 'Mufti', starring Simbu and Gautham Karthik in the lead role.

To add that, Hari’s open letter of angst regarding Suriya’s decision to release the movie ‘Soorarai Pottru’ directly on OTT platform didn’t go well with the actor. Now it looks like all is well with the actor and director and the project might change hands from Studio Green to Suriy's home banner 2D Entertainment or to some other production company.
