Actor Vikram, popularly known as Chiyaan Vikram among the fans and movie industry is known for his untiring dedication towards cinema.

The latest news is that young looking actor has become a grandfather. His daughter, Akshita, turned mother to a baby girl yesterday afternoon. We hear that she delivered the baby around 1 pm, on Monday.

Vikram's family earlier had a simple celebration when Akshita broke the news to her parents; father Vikram and mother Shyla, that she was pregnant.

Vikram’s daughter Akshit got married to Manu Ranjith, the son of FMCG honcho CK Ranganathan (CavinKare Founder-Chairman), in 2017. The wedding took place at former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Late DMK Patriarch M Karunanidhi’s residence in Gopalapuram. Interestingly, Manu is the great-grandson of the DMK supremo.

Akshita’s husband Manu owns a chain of bakeries in Chennai under the name of CK’s bakery. Also, he is a director of Cavinkare, which is his father’s brainchild.

On the work front, Vikram was last seen in Rajesh M Selva’s 'Kadaram Kondan'. The actor will next be seen in R Ajay Gnanamuthu’s 'Cobra'. In the film, the actor will be seen playing seven characters.

Produced by Lalit Kumar under the banner Seven Screen Studio, 'Cobra' also features Srinidhi Shetty, Miya George and Irfan Pathan in essential roles.

Vikram also has Gautham Menon’s long delayed 'Dhruva Natchathiram', Mani Ratnam’s 'Ponniyin Selvan' and a recent collaboration for the first time with his son, Dhruv which will be helmed by Karthik Subbaraj and is tentatively referred as Chiyaan 60. He is also in talks with Lokesh Kanagaraj for his next.

Vikram's son, Dhruv, on the other hand, recently made his acting debut with Adithya Varma, remake of the Telugu super hit Arjun Reddy that starred Vijay Deverakonda.
