Actor Thavasi's condition shook the whole film industry after the video of him spread widely in media and social media.

Thavasi, who is battling Stage 4 cancer was seen in an unrecognizable condition in the video and sought financial help from the film industry and the Tamil Nadu government for his treatment.

After the video grabbed the attention of Tamil film industry, stars have come forward to help the actor. We reported Soori aided help for the actor and now Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi, Sivakarthikeyan, Silambarasan TR and Soundararaja are among the other Kollywood actors reached out to help Thavasi.

Rajinikanth has reportedly told his office members to take care of Thavasi's hospital and treatment costs. According to media reports, Simbu has donated Rs 1 lakh to Thavasi for his treatment.

Sivakarthikeyan has requested his fan club members to hand over a cheque of Rs 25,000 to Thavasi and his family. Also, Vijay Sethupathi, through his friend actor Soundar Raj, gave Rs 1 lakh to Thavasi and his family. Soundar Raja has contributed Rs 10,000 to Thavasi and family.

Soundararaja, who met Thavasi in hospital on Tuesday, told us,“Thavasi mama has cancer in his food pipe. He seems to have had the tumour for over a year but hadn’t realised it. He first took treatment at a private hospital in Chennai, but later went to Madurai government hospital. Actor-director Saravana Sakthi, who came to know of this, had requested Dr Saravanan, who acted in the film Akilan, to offer him treatment in his hospital. Three days ago, Thavasi mama was shifted to Dr Saravanan’s hospital and his condition has gotten better. He has lost all his hair due to the cancer treatment though.”

MLA Dr Saravanan had taken care of his expenses so far and had also helped him with an esophageal stent.

Thavasi has been struggling to swallow his food and has lost his strength. It is reported that Thavasi can now drink juices and is hopeful of recovering soon.
