Suriya reveals his upcoming projects after 'Soorarai Pottru'
Suriya's 'Soorarai Pottru' is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video on November 12 on the eve of Diwali. The film directed by Sudha Kongara has music score by G.V. Prakash Kumar and jointly produced by 2D Entertainment and Shikya Entertainment.

The film is based on the life of GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan and retired Captain in the Indian Army. The movie was originally planned to premiere on October 30 but due to the delay in getting the NoC from the IAF authorities, the makers and Amazon Prime pushed the release date.

The film’s supporting cast includes Mohan Babu, Paresh Rawal, Urvashi, Karunas, Vivek Prasanna, Krishnakumar, Achyuth Kumar, Kaali Venkat, and Arjunan. The technical crew of this film includes GV Prakash for composing music, Niketh Bommireddy for cinematography, and Sathish Suriya for editing.

Meanwhile in a recent interview with Bollywood film critic Rajeev Masand, the actor opened up about his upcoming projects after 'Soorarai Pottru'. In the online interview, Suriya mentioned that he is teaming up with Maniratnam for the web-series titled 'Navarasa', a Netflix anthology. The nine short films feature a stellar line up of over 40 cast members and several hundred creative and film technicians.

'Navarasa' was conceived by directors Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan (co-founder, Qube Cinema) as an initiative that will raise funds to support those in the cinema industry who have been acutely affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

Then the actor is going to shoot for 'Suriya 40', which was officially announced last Sunday with with director Pandiraj which will be bankrolled by Sun Pictures.

After completing the project with Pandiraj, he will commence the shooting for Vetrimaaran's 'Vaadivaasal', which will be an adaptation of the novel with the same name penned by C S Chellappa.
