While the cinematographer-turned-director clarified at a recent press meet that he got the idea for the film after reading a story in the National Geographic magazine, there were still some who weren’t convinced.
Now, it looks like Anand has taken to Twitter to prove his case. While the director posted a link to the National Geographic article that inspired the film’s knot, he also went ahead and tweeted the list of films made on conjoined twins so far. “Some films on conjoined twins. Stuck On You, Peach Tree, Alone, Twin Falls Idaho. Pl watch them before Maattrraan (sic),” the Ko director informed, subtly hitting out at people who have been claiming that his film is a copy.
Looks like this is one dare that will have the rumour mongers scurrying for cover.
News Update:

Director KV Anand opens up on his Maatran.
The makers have recently released a 1min
