After Veeram, Ajith is donning the lead role in the film titled Yennai Arindhaal. This film is being directed by Gautham Menon.
Trisha, Anushka, Arun Vijay and Vivek are also donning important roles. Harris Jayaraj is composing the music.

It was announced that the film will be released on 15th of this month. A couple of days back it was announced that the film is being released on 29th. Ajith fans were greatly disappointed. Various reasons were cited for its postponement.

At this juncture, producer A M Rathinam has given an explanation. He said, " Re-recording and mixing works of the film Yennai Arindhaal is yet to be completed. We did not want to complete the technical works with urgency and release the film. We want to release the film patiently after completing all the works. That is why we have postponed its release by two weeks. Coming 29th January, the film Yennai Arindhaal will be definitely released."
