Aishwarya Rai Bachan and her daughter Aradhya had tested positive for COVID-19 on July 12, a day after her father-in-law Amitabh and her husband Abhishek tested positive and were admitted to Nanavati hospital.

She was hospitalised five days later after developing slight fever and mild symptoms along with her daughter.

While they were in home quarantine, after a few days, they both were shifted to the hospital. Now, Abhishek took to his social to say that both Aishwarya and Aradhya have been tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital.

His tweet read, "Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever. Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home." He added that his father and him are still in the hospital. "My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff," he added. Abhishek's mother Jaya Bachchan had tested negative.

On the career front, Aishwarya will be seen next in Mani Ratnam's ambitious Ponniyin Selvan. She will be essaying a double role in the film, of which one of the characters has a negative shade.
