Soorarai Pottru was announced to release directly on Amazon Prime Video on October 30, skipping the theatrical route amid the Covid-19 pandemic

Meanwhile, the fans were pleasantly surprised after seeing a short glimpse video of the film on Amazon Prime Video. We get to see some new shots in this promo which features Aparna Balamurali, Urvashi and Paresh Rawal, apart from Suriya. This promo has come as a slight sigh of relief to the fans who are sharing the video on their timelines.
The makers are yet to begin the promotions and everyone is eagerly waiting to see the trailer of the film. Meanwhile, there is speculation stating that the release might get postponed.
According to the industry sources, Soorarai pottru hasn't received NOC from the aviation department. And this is told to be the reason behind Amazon not releasing the trailer yet. In addition, rumours started floating on film’s release getting pushed from Oct 30.
'Soorarai Pottru' features Suriya in a new avatar and revolves around the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath. The Sudha Kongara-helmed film has a strong cast that includes Aparna Balamurali, ‘Collection King’ Mohan Babu and Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal.
