Anjali is popular for playing characters with a girl-next-door look and has been well-received for her convincing performances in critically–acclaimed films.

In the recently released stills from Masala Cafe directed by Sundar C., Anjali is seen in a glamorous do. Has her choice of roles undergone a change? "I have no particular choices.

The script has to work for me — I decide based on that," she states. "The stills were from a dream sequence in the film. I play the role of a health-inspector in the film and I am wearing cotton sarees right through.

I have not deviated in my choice of roles — it is not something that I can change in a hurry. It is good to be a part of a commercial film and still get an interesting role to play," she adds.
