After undergoing just five days of coaching, actress Ananya won the gold medal at the State Archery Championship and now she is gearing up to face Olympian Deepika Kumari in national level competitions.

The State Archery Championship took place at the Eranakulam Kaloor St. Alberts college ground Saturday. Kannur’s Arathi Joseph was her main opponent. The 25-year-old won after scoring 80 points.

Ananya has now qualified for National Archery Championship where she will compete with Deepika Kumari. She  is now gearing up to compete with Deepika Kumari, who represented India in the recent Olympic games, and her likes in the National Archery Championship. Not many know that Ananya has been trained in archery and it came as a surprise when she won a gold medal in a sport that demands a heavy dose of concentration.

Ahead of the competition, the actor had admitted that she didn't practise much and isn't worried about losing the games as well.

It should be noted that this was the first time she had participated in a competition of this calibre, which was possible only because she got an unexpected break from her current Telugu project 'Intinta Annamayya'.

Though Ananya is looking forward to the national-level competition, she will confirm her participation only after the dates are announced.
