Gautam Karthik has received many accolades for his performance in Kadal. There is a huge buzz stating Gautam as the lead role in the remake of Telugu movie 'Ala Modalaindi'.

The original version has Nani and Nithya Menon in the main lead and Nadini Reddy directed this movie.

The Tamil version will be directed by Ravi Thyagarajan and the movie is produced by Ravi Prasad Productions. D.Imman has been roped to compose the tunes and official cast and crew details are expected to be out very soon. This movie is anticipated to be shot in Mysore, Hyderabad and an abroad schedule.

Gautam Karthik has signed his second film under Saravanan's direction and the shooting of his second movie is likely to commence in April. There were huge speculations stating Aishwarya Dhanush directing Gautam Karthik.
